How do I compress an image?

Press Choose images and pick up to 30 JPG, PNG or WebP files, or drag them onto the box. Set the quality and, if you want, a smaller size. Press Compress images. Each picture shows its old and new size. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP.

What quality should I choose?

For JPG and WebP, a quality of 70 to 80 usually keeps a photo looking the same on a phone screen while making the file much smaller. Lower numbers make smaller files but add blur and blocks, so try a few values and compare.

Making the picture smaller is the strongest way to cut file size. A photo that is 4000 pixels wide is far more than a phone screen needs.

Why did my PNG not get smaller?

PNG is a lossless format, so a quality setting cannot shrink it. To get a smaller file, choose a smaller size, or save it as WebP or JPG. JPG has no transparency, so transparent parts turn white. If compressing would make a file bigger, the tool keeps your original and tells you.

Is it safe to compress my photos here?

Yes. The pictures are processed on your own device, in your browser, and are never uploaded to our server. Saving a picture again also removes hidden details stored in the file, such as the place where a photo was taken.

Image compress kaise karein?

Images chuno, quality 70 se 80 rakho, zaroorat ho to size chhota karo aur Compress dabao. Phir file download kar lo. Aapki photo kisi server par upload nahi hoti.

What are the limits?

You can add up to 30 images at a time, up to 25 MB each. Very large pictures can be slow on an old phone, so try a few at a time. HEIC photos from some iPhones are not supported, so save them as JPG first.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

+

Which image formats can I compress?

+

JPG, PNG and WebP. You can also save a picture as JPG or WebP to change its format.

What is the best quality setting?

+

For photos, 70 to 80 is a good start. Check the result and go higher if you see blur.
